I was recently on a hike where those blackberry bushes were to be found along my path. So I had to read your haiku! In the true spirit of haiku, you capture a precise moment nature offers us. My favorite part is how you end with the excellent word “prelude.” You dont talk about berries but you take our imagination there.
I am so glad that you shared this. I thought i was the only person who noticed. You walk by a bush everyday for almost a year and suddenly one day you are enveloped with the most spectacular smell. Up until now, I thought I was the only one who noticed. ;)
